Gomen!
June 18, 2008
i promised myself that i will be religious in writing on this blog.
sadly, two weeks went by and not a single post! ah! gomen! hontoni gomen nasai!
i have seven (7) blog drafts that i need to finish!
yosh! i will work hard to keep to my word. i am doing this to make sure that i can do something consistent for a change. even if it is just blogging.
as the saying goes — ‘one step at a time’. if i manage to write consistently in my blog, there is hope for me yet, ne?
ah! it is so hard to be a complicated person! or am is just irresponsible and thoughtless??

Turning Japanese
June 18, 2008
okay. for the past month, i have been hooked on japanese dramas.
this addiction started when i watched an episode of Hana Kimi Taiwan. i found it cute but since it was aired on ABS, I had no desire to spend everyday waiting for it. this is probably the reason why ‘tele-novelas’, korea-novelas’ and other television series do not appeal to me. I simply do not want to wait for the next episode.
surprise! surprise! My cousin (well, actually my husband’s) bought the Hana Kimi Taiwan Series and lent it me. true to my nature, i stayed up all night to finish it.
after that, i moved on to Hana Kimi Japan because according to many drama fanatics from crunchyroll.com, it is way better than the taiwanese version.
again, i watched and finished it in one day. they (the fans) were right. Japanese dramas are better told and way shorter than taiwanese ones. i dare not compare the filipino ‘teleseryes’ which could last for years and years.
so, after that i Googled the other popular japanese dramas. Thanks to sites such as sars-fansub.com and d-addicts.com, i was able to download these japanese series. also, i want to thank my cousin for giving me a Seagate External HDD — 500 GB! yay! sugoi!!!
in chronological order, i have watched Hana Yori Dango 1 and 2, Bambino, Nobuta wo Produce, Yamada Taro Monogatari, Kurosagi and Proposal Daisakusen. Still watching and downloading Nodame Cantabile and Sore Wa Totsuzen Arashi No You Ni.
Three of these dramas (Nobuta wo Produce, Kurosagi and Proposal Daisakusen) featured my *crush* new obsession ^_^ …
so, anyway… because of my so-called addiction, i am also trying to learn japanese. i found this great site japaneseipod.com, where one can download japanese lesson and listen to them. much easier than simply reading about it!
i figured that after learning to speak Japanese, learning about their culture will certainly be easier.
duh? i actually do not know why i am wasting so much time — but it feels good to deviate from everyday life, ne?
and i swore, that i will not burn myself out with work and family matters!
yosh!
